The Brussels Kaaitheater is looking for a new general and artistic coordinator who will lead the theater into the next artistic era.

The procedure for the candidature is open and transparent: candidates will be evaluated on their future vision on the artistic evolution of Kaaitheater and on the professional knowledge and experience that the coordination of a prominent and cutting-edge organization requires.

The jury consists of external people, team members and members of the board of directors who will make a first selection and go into a dialogue with the chosen candidates. A ranking of three final candidates will thereafter be presented to the full board of directors who will take the final decision.

For those who might have any doubts or fears, Kaaitheater wants to continue its original mission that has led to a successful itinerary for more than 40 years:

Kaaitheater is a stage for dance, theater, performance, music and debate, rooted in Brussels but with our sights set on the world. Since 1977, we have presented and co-produced work by contemporary performing artists. From the eighties until the present, from local to international, from repertoire to experiment, and from small to large venues: Kaaitheater fosters long-term commitments to the artists on its stages.

In the conviction that art is important to man’s well-being, we make a point of relating to society. In Brussels’ canal district, where we see all the world’s issues in a nutshell, artists imagine and model the city of the future.
